If I were to leave a legacy behind I would probably leave a couple of things such as....... my money for my family to use and give to the poor. My most treasured things for people to remember me by. My knowledge of the Prophet Muhammad (S), Allah (SWT), the other Prophets, and the Sahabh. A note saying to never stop praying, making du'a, or fulfilling Allah (SWT)'s wishes just because I died!

Legacy is something of intangibility, it is something that is so critical, so significant. When leaving behind a legacy it is so crucial that you leave on that you would have loved to have been left behind for you. Something that you would have been able to benefit from yourself. Actually, there is three ways that you could continue to receive good deeds in the grave, and one of them is leaving behind knowledge for others to use. That is why inshallah I hope to leave behind a legacy full of knowledge that would continue to be passed on from generation to generation.

A legacy that I would love to leave behind is happiness and joy. I want to leave a peaceful world where everyone is happy and has nothing to worry about in their lives. And to make this possible I want to display a positive attitude and make others days better. So many others in this world are being oppressed and are not having such good days as us. So I want to try being as happy and joyful as possible so that way I can show that I thankful for the life I have.

If i were to die, the legacy i would want to leave behind is someone who is there to always help others. Legacy is intangible but can be powerful to the point where is seems tangible. I want to be known as an honest person who stayed true to herself and kept the akhirah in mind at all times. Simliarly, I want to be someone who strives to become better and lead as an exemplar to others.

If we refer back to Benjamin Franklin's quote, notice that he said "DO something worth WRITNG."
So I understand that you have to do something that would seem important for people, otherwise they wouldn't pay attention to your existence. I mean, really, they might be busy, or have better things to do than read about someone who didn't help society in ANY way.
But if had a legacy, I would want to be a memory that generations cherish in their minds, or leave behind a diary kept in a museum. Many famous people left behind diaries from which people were able to learn new facts about the person.
I think this is good topic because most people, if not everybody, probably think about becoming famous at one point in their lives. Some get over with it, some stay obsessed with it until the die and never really achieve anything, and some achieve that goal through hard work.
If I was known for something, it would be:
-the first person to land on Mars
-for inventing something used ubiquitously, like the light bulb by Thomas Edison or kites and electricity by Benjamin Franklin
-for becoming first female president (you could get seriously famous for that!)
-for writing a book read everywhere
But even if I did any of those things, the main reason I would want to do any of those things is so that I could be known as a MUSLIM that HELPED SOCIETY.
I guess I'm still working on these things... : )

I would want to leave behind a legacy that shows people that sometimes mistakes are he best way to learn. Even as a youthful person, I have made shameful, countless mistakes. I want people to remember that Allah (swt) will always forgive you, and reward you as you try to stop your mistake. I learned this from a very experienced person... Myself. It feels good that you can always count on Allah and He will always listen. That's the beautiful part of Islam. I also hope people find the truth before its too late, I hope they find Islam...

If I were to leave a legacy behind I would leave a saadaqah jarriyah because it is an ongoing charity. For example if I pass knowledge down to some people then they will pass it down to some other people an so on. After i die the knowledge will continue to be passed on so I will still earn good deeds after I die. A type of saadaqah is being a teacher.

I agree with zoha because if you set an example for others they will follow it and you will get the reward but also you need to write some bad examples so that they don't follow that like you did and if your going to write those bad examples you have to say don't follow them and exclaim why.

If I were to pass away and leave a legacy the legacy I would want to leave is to never give up. I as a soccer player would never give up on anything. I would try my hardest and keep at it until the job is done. This does not only happen in sports, but also school. In school you can't just give up on homework or tests, you have to keep trying, keep fighting. I would want to show that if you put your heart into something and try hard enough anything can be accomplished.
If I were to leave a legacy behind I would leave a tafseer on the quran, this would be an act of worship and give me sadaqa jariya after I'm dead. There might even be a chance that I will help someone convert to Islam, inshallah.
