Assalamualykum!
One character trait that I would like to perfect is when I am angry at someone or something. An examplar that helped me to look up at him so I can overcome my anger is the prophet Muhammed(s) because he usually or always had control over his anger. A person that demonstrated anger to me is mostly everyone but, mostly my siblings, parents and friends.

Asalamualaykum!
A character trait that I would like to perfect is being careful with the way I use tongue. Every time I say something I try and think of what I am going to say, but sometimes I am so overwhelmed with emotions that I just blurt things out. Someone that I remember every time I might say something, is my 3rd grade islamics teacher. She was very calm and if someone talked to her she would take a minute or two to think about what she was saying. And every single time she spoke, she didn't say one hurtful thing. This teacher was one of my favorite teachers for that one reason

One of the things i would like to perfect is what i say to other people. For example, instead in saying something not good to other people, say something good because you wouldn't want to miss out on the chance to get good deeds. Every good deed can affect your good deeds on the day of judgement because you never know, that good deed can save you on the day of judgement. Maybe you were about to go to hell fire and just because of that good deed, you went to Jannah. so sometimes your tounge can save you from something you didn't want to happen to you. This is what i want to perfect.

One character trait that I would like to have is mercy to my friends and family. One person that I know has this trait is my grandmother. The characteristic that I want to achieve and perfect in myself is being patient. A trait that I would really like to work on to achieve to better myself is making sure that who I surround myself and when it is a good time to be interacting with them. Sometimes I forget to check who I am spending my time with after telling others to make sure to surround themselves with good people. Or as one of my friends say "practice what you preach". And I know that one of my friends really know who it is good to spend time with, and it was really inspiring to have seen her pick and choose good friends. she is a great exemplar and amazing friend, and even though she has moved away I still respect her very much, and love when she visits. Especially because it gives me a sense of reminder on the lesson.

Something that I want to work on is listening to my parents and being good to them. If I don't care about them right now then, I wouldn't be able to help them when they are sick or old. Prophet (SAW) always used to listen to his parents, and he said that you have to respect your parents and listen to them because they are the one that raised you and helped you overcome your fears. They woke up every night to take care of me when I was a baby. What else do you want.
One characteristic that I really not only want, but must learn to apply in my daily life is to love others for the sake of Allah SWT, no matter how much they hurt you in any way. It is said that even THE PROPHETS will have the slightest bit of jealousy (not envy) for those who love others for the sake of Allah.

I find myself yelling and screaming at people because of a petty issue which is wrong because sometimes people may get really mad at me and start to hate me. I would not want anyone to hate me so I really need to perfect that about myself. Assalamualaikum,
One trait that I aspire to have is patience. When I want something to happen instead of being angry that i didnt get it, i want to learn to be calm and wait for it. After all i could be getting good deeds that i will need later in place of it, or have a burden that was going to happen become less hard. One ayah i found about patience is:
So be patient in the face of what they say and glorify your Lord with praise before the rising of the sun and before it sets. (Surah Qaf: 39)
This shows me that, Allah swt plans things in accordance to what is best for us, not just everything we want. One exemplar who showed patience is the Prophet (SAW).The Prophet (SAW) never pressured those around him to accept the religion, nor forced Islam onto them. Instead he always used the pleasantest ways to tell them about it. He was patient about it, and gentle. Even when people called him a magician or madman, he calmy carried the message of islam, instead of giving up.So inshallah, I hope to become as patient as the Prophet (SAW)

One trait I would like to perfect in myself is standing up for what's right. I think Muslims shouldn't be afraid to speak up now that there is prejudice against us. (Once, on TV during elections, a Muslim running for senator was specifically spoken about and the channel said not to vote for him. How unfair!) On a small scale, I should stand up for a child being bullied. On a larger scale, I could try to earn a position in the government so my opinions would be heard. Someone who exemplified this is, of course, the Prophet (s) when he spoke against abusing other humans. Another (and she is not a Muslim) is Rosa Parks, when she refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white. There are also countless others who fought against slavery and for freedom such as Martin Luther King Jr.

Another thing I want to perfect is to be grateful. None of us should take anything for granted. Just the other day I got into a car accident. My family and I survived, but not the car. I will always remember feeling as if I had seen death itself and thinking whether I had done enough good in my life or not. Alhamdulillah! Now I truly understand why people celebrate life!
Someone who definitely exemplified this concept is the Prophet (S), since he always invoked in Allah for His blessings.
I remember a saying:
"Yesterday was history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But today is gift. That is why they call it 'present'."
This shows that we should not wake up each morning and grunt "Ugghh, today I have to go to school to do work and meet my teachers and do even more boring assignments!" We should not think this. Rather, we should wake up happy despite any circumstances, grateful e have another chance at life, grateful that we were not taken away from this life in the middle of our sleep. And that we have another day to ask Allah for His forgiveness. We have another day to meet all the people we love and who are close to our heart, whether family or friends. WE are the lucky ones, so unlike the others around the world from whom life is taken away.
