I would like to become an expert on following and memorizing all the hadiths in the Quran. Since they tell us stories and signs and knowledge on what we need to know about the past (during the time of the prophets) and what we should know about in the future (day of judgment)

If I could become an expert in one field of Islamic sciences, I would choose the field of Hadiths. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has said many Hadith that are very beneficial which we can apply in our daily lives.
The more Hadiths we learn, we can teach and inform others about the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) which will benefit not only us but the people around us as well!
Sarah M. Raza

I totally agree, Hibah!
People from the time of the Prophet (S) went to many struggles just so people like us could have access to things that the Prophet (S) said. Some traveled across countries to find out a couple of words!
We should respect the fact that they went through so much to help others, so we should try to learn from them and apply what we learn in our daily lives.

I actually found out that when the Muslims started predetermining (I have no idea if that is even a word, so lets pretend that I came up with it for now ;)) the salah timings months before the actual salah that it inspired more progress in astronomy for centuries.
Its so amazing that astronomers were actually inspired by the muslims that figured out these things. This is an amazing field in muslim sciences that I would actually would like to look into more because of my love of space.

I would like to become an expert on fiqh and the Usul of Fiqh. The reason I would like to become an expert in this is because we learned in Language Arts that knowledge is power. This is true in Islam because if you have knowledge aboout your religon, then you have the power to go to Jannah, Inshaallah.
Also, knowing the Fiqh is another step to understanding the Quran deeply and the Sunnah of the Prophet (SWS). The reason is that if you know the rules and guidelines the Prophet told us, you will know why Allah (SWT) said things you may have not understood in the Quran.
I also want to learn a much as I can about fiqh, but as Sheikh Ali said, he has been studying fiqh for over 40 years and he is nowhere close to learning everything. That itself proves Allah's superiority and also that learning can't be finished. As much as you think you've learned something, there is a lot more you can do.

If I could become an expert of one Islamic sciences fields, it would be the things Allah (SWT) tells us within the Quran. It is amazing to see that when things are told in the Quran that have happened or we see happening. An example would be the Rosette Nebula. In the Quran, Allah mentions in Surat Rahman, "When the Heaven shall be cleft asunder, and become rose red, like stained leather." (Surat ar-Rahman, 37). It's amazing to see a big visual that Allah (SWT) is real and so is His Book. This discovery made many people become Muslim. That's why I would study in that area of Islamics.

If I were to pick one of the fields in Islamic sciences, it would be memorizing the Quran and studying the meaning of the Quran because the Quran is very powerful because they are the words of Allah (SWT). The Quran has so many meanings even to this day we do not understand. Maybe in another 100 years, people might realize something that was not realized right now. Even to this day, we do not know the exact meanings of the whole Quran because there are years to come. This is why studying the Quran ad its meanings is so important and interesting.

1/16/2014 06:54:53 am
I honestly think that every Islamic Science is really interesting. You can take any and use it to do amazing things.
The two I really liked though are Islamic History and Fiqh.
I like Islamic History because I like history. I know that lots of people say that history is really boring because it all happened long ago. But I think that is what makes it especially interesting. You can learn from the mistakes of others and find out how famous people found ways to solve problems that are similar to yours. Plus, you can learn about the foundation of Islam and how creation started and all the simple details that mean a lot.
I want to study Fiqh because they are how-to's. I personally find it a lot simpler when I have the guidelines all laid out for me, so all I have to do is follow them! Lots of people look at it the opposite way, but this is just what I think.

If I were to pick a field of Islamic Sciences I would probably study the prophets and their lives. I would want to learn and teach others about them and what they did, so we are able to follow in their footsteps. By doing this I will pray all 5 prayers everyday, fast, and read more Quran. By doing all these anyone that follows the prophets will become amazing Muslims that do anything the Quran or prophets had shared with us to do.
So... I mean this probably means the history of Islam. But I would like to get into the depth of the prophets and how they lived. In the long run Inshallah those who do what they are suppose to do will be able to go to Jannah.

I think I would pursue in becoming an expert in knowing the different Prophet's stories. And the reason is because I believe that they have such incredible lessons and morals that can be learned from them, that I would love to be able to refer back to them quite a bit. I think that the stories are just amazing and amazing that Allah (swt) has created such amazing people. And I also love to read because in books nothing has to be real, you can come up with a completely new world, dream up characters, and new everything. However, to know that the stories that had happened to the Prophet's were real, are just all the more awe inspiring. And that is why I would pick that criteria.

I would probably want to study manners. I know alot of us havent picked this one but i want to study it because i believe studying it will make me realize how important it is to actually follow. I know personally one i need to actually follow is not laughing too much ( which by the way is REALLY hard for me). To be more specific, islamic etiquette or how a muslim is supposed to react in certain scenarios.
I would like to be an expert on manners because the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said to always have good manners and i think that we should follow in his footsteps so i would like to be an expert on manners. (sorry for it being so short not really but still)

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) is THE role model we should all follow, especially on his manners and respect for others. Nowadays, in the American Society respect and good manners are decreasing, and when respect is given, it is given to a famous basketball player, not your parents. As Muslims in general, we should have a high standard and hopefully get people to study more about Islam.

The Quran itself is a miracle, and even inside of it there are many other miracles. Scholars are constantly finding new miracles in the Quran For example, scientists recently discovered that the sun will run out of energy and expire. But in the Quran, it already said that: And the Sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. (Surah Ya Sin, 38) Also, the Muslims in the Prophet (saw) time didn't even use that fact as evidence that the Quran was a miracle, for them it was common knowledge. learning the Quran and its hidden miracles will increase your knowledge, and help you have a closer connection to the Quran and Allah

If I could choose a field of Islamic sciences I would choose Islamic History. The reason I would choose Islamic History is because of all that happened during the prophet's time. Exploring the battles and just an average day of the prophets life has so much knowledge and meaning to it. Knowing how the Prophet (SAW) lived his life is the key to Jennah. To study Islamic History would educate me about all the stories of the prophets and messengers, in addition learning about the hardships the prophets and messengers went through would teach me patience in even the hardest situations. Just knowing how the prophets and messengers dealt with their situations makes one want to become better. Looking back at the hardships of the prophets also makes one thankful that they can practice their religion without the pain the prophets had to face.

If I wanted to study a field of Islamic sciences then I would like to study the miracles of the Quran or Fiqh.
