Well, I was really sick and still am...that's why I did not come to school Monday and made a lot of dua to eat again and become normal and to not die. I don't think I invested in my akhras that much in the break. Sad....

Did you know that becoming sick is actually a way for you to get rid of bad deeds Heba? So in a way you did actually invest in your akhira ;)

yup! You get good deeds whenever you are in a hardship or in some sort of pain. Your patience counts in this as well.

I invested on my akhira by sitting in my bed every night and thinking of what I had done that day and if I rememebered Allah during my break. I was traveling so I had the perfect time because I didn't have to do any chores.

I invested in my akhirah by making sure every night I said Ayatul-Kursi, Surat al-Ikhlas (3 times), Surat al-Falaq (3 times), and Surat an-Nas (3 times) before I went to bed. I try to do this every night to get the most benefit from it.

Wow Mashallah Sanaa I did the same thing but in addition I tried to make a lengthy dua that me and my family go to Jannah and stay away from Hellfire. I also tied to say Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah and Allahu Akbar everytime I was free or bored and to help me I thought about the things I could earn in the hereafter.

Over the break I did a lot of things that doesn't mean I stopped remembering Allah and my duties as a Muslim to fulfill our request. For example after most prayers I did what we usually do at school. And at night time I said almost every Surat I know . So I did a lot of things. I had fun but still remembered what my job was to do

I clicked send by accident I also meant to add this part in . This can actually be a helpful thing for the abhors. I did things here and there maybe not as worth as much deeds. Yet doing things here and there that are small can lead up to something big and a great reaction from Allah. And we should all want Allah to think positive of us! :)

what i invested during my break of my akhira was that as i was reading our Ben Carson book for L.A was that Ben Carson had a lot of faith in god and asked him for help constantly and it helped remind me that we can ask Allah to help us with anything but when it is our akhira we can't ask for help from anyone at the time we are being asked on what we did with our lives were alone and that is something important to remember in this life and for the hereafter

One way I have invested in the break by memorizing a lot of quran. I also went to many of the parayers, including jummah prayer, with my dad to the masjid. I also made dua for my granparents that they will be forgiven of all there sins on the day of judgement, and I also prayed for all the muslims that Allah will have mercy on the on the day of Judgement.. I was also playing calm with my little brother because he is sick and he has slept randomly a lot these days. Inshaallah, Allah will cure him :)

It is good that you made use of your time in the car because normally people waste their time by watching movies or reading random things that don't benefit them (reading is good, just try reading the Qur'an instead) or sleeping or doing other things. May Allah Bless you for taking your time to recite Qur'an as people our age nowadays usually don't even recite Qur'an.

I invested my akhirah during the break by memorizing and reviewing a lot of quran. I would memorize two pages every day and then I would review them. I would do this again the next day but I would review the pages from the previous days. I accomplished my goal of how much I was going to review over the break by investing for my akhirah. This is something one should do always. You never know when you're going to die....
Ahmed Hussein 7A
4/28/2014 09:57:35 am
Also, it doesn't only have to be quran. It could be dhikr, praying on time, making more du'a, etc. Reviewing quran was just one of the things I did over break and still continuously continue to do.

To invest in my Akhirah, over the break I continued to memorize Quran to keep up with my daily memorization. Also over the break I visited my cousins and most of the time they can get a little annoying, but I had to remember to keep my cool and remember that they are little kids. I also made sure to read Ayat al Kursiyy, and the 3 Quls before going to sleep.

Another way I invested in the akhira during my break was that I also listened to my mom when she asked me to play with my little brother and to keep him busy. It is also a good thing I listened, because if I got my mom angry, Allah would be angry too. But since I got my mom happy, I gained many good deeds that may save me on the DOJ.

One thing that I did was pray Imam for my brothers and mother when my father wasn't there (because he had work when we were on break). In everyday life, we make wudu and pray and we don't make a big deal of it. But when other people's salah depends on you having good wudu, it really helps you to make the right intention, focus on your salah much better, and overall have a more spiritual sense of life.

One thing I invested on my akhira in the break by doing my regular Islam pillars (For example, Prayers) and I tried to teach my younger cousin some quick easy facts to know about Islam (About the Hell Fire and Jannah). I wanted to teach her so she can be prepared for the akirha at a young age and I also increased in good deeds by teaching.

During the break I hadn't gone traveling, but had gone to a lot of places, with family or friends. Sometimes when people are on break their minds are set on, "I am on break, don't bother me, or talk to me. All I am gonna do is eat, sleep, and watch TV." Well, during break every time my parents had asked me to do something around the house my first thought would be, "Ugh, why do I have to." But then I'd remember the reward of getting up and helping my parents. I try and motivate myself for me to be able to get good deeds, which will eventually, Inshallah, lead up to Jannah. :)

Something that I did over break is actually something I learned in Islamics. I remember that we were talking about Jinns and that they could be anywhere and if you harm one that they could take revenge on. So, in my break I tried to remember to say Bismill'ah when ever I did something just to make sure I didn't harm a Jinn and that no Jinn is coming after me to take revenge because that would just be scary.
