Assalamualaykum!
One inspirational quote that I found is, "Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles we have, and thank Allah for the troubles we don't have".This ties into what we are learning is by that when one sins and complains about the trouble he had caused, he should instead thank Allah for concealing his sins and not causing more trouble and shame to that person.

Yes, Heba, I agree. I remember that a teacher once told me:
"To become happy, you must want what you have."
This tells us to focus on everything we do have, instead of the things we don't.

One inspirational qoute is that Allah leave's the door of jannah open in Ramadan. When ramadan was coming we learned about this and we started to do good deeds.
After that I learned lots of things about Allah.

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." -Buddha
This quote relates to the Mahdi. The Mahdi will spread happiness of Islam. This will increase happiness instead of decrease of happiness

One quote I found is:
"It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped."-Tony Robbins
This reminds us that everything we do has a consequence, negative or positive. So we should really think about what we are going to do or say before we do or say it. We may not realize it right then, but every deed is taken into account, so we should be careful and not let things slip.

My quote is.....
Find a place inside of you where there is joy, and the joy will burn out the pain, By: Joseph Campbell. It relates to what we are learning because when you doubt something it gives you pain but when you find good or joy that doubt goes away giving a relief to the pain or burning it out

I agree with your quote Adel because when you have a lot of pain inside you, then you have to try to bring the joy, so you won't feel so painful. For example, if you have pain just try to bring the virtues, so you can get rid of the pain!

"You can't change the world by helping one person, but you can change the world for that person." In class we are also learning about changing ourselves before asking others to help change us. You have to change what is within yourself first.

Yes Neda I do agree with your quote you chose, what I understood is, for example when you make dua you can't just say it then just say that your job is done, you have to put in your effort, you have to try.

Woah! That quote is really deep. One should always try to change the people around himself. Also, you can't really help someone else before you change yourself.
But I guess according to that quote, you can change the world by helping everyone. :P

"Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success." this quote shows that in life you have to be patient in times of difficulty, you also have to be persistent in making dua. you can never give up on your faith! in order to be successful in this life and the next we have to do our part and then trust that Allah will do his part too.

Asalamu Alaiykum,
The quote I chose is:
"Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful." -Joshua J. Marine
I tie this to what we are learning and what we have learned because life has challenges; if everything was served to you on a silver platter, life would have no point, and would be...boring. You feel a sense of joy when you overcome these challenges with the help of Allah (SWT). So basically, life is meaningful because Allah (SWT) helps us through any challenge... He is Al-Ghafour, Al-Mujeeb, and Al-Wakeel.
Sarah M. Raza 7A

Very well said Amira!
What I get out of that quote is that life is a test, and we don't live life without challenges. We should overcome those challenges. The challenges are those times when we are so tempted to do the wrong action but we know what is right and so we do what is right. For example, when we overcome our nafs, we have a sense of satisfaction with ourselves.
I also like to remember that Allah (SWT) is also Ar-Razzaq, because He is the one who gives us these challenges, but He also provides a way to overcome them.

I found another quote. It is as follows:
"I cant change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." -Jimmy Dean
This reminds me of our prayers. We should not plan our prayers around our schedule, but rather our schedule around it.

"Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago" -Warren Buffett

So basically you mean Sadaqah Jariyah.
I understand from this that everything has a consequence, good or bad, big or small, whether we see it no or not. So we shouldn't underestimate the simple things in life, because who knows how those things could affect the world?

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
― Benjamin Franklin
This quote is very simple and very straight forward. If we dont prepare for something like an exam then we should know that we are only hurting ourselves.
This relates to what we are learning because The Day Of Judgment is comming, and we never know when it will come, it may be this Friday or next Friday or whenever Allah chooses for it to happen. Its like a pop quiz, just because tommorow isn't Science class doesn't mean you shouldn't study. You should study extra for the exam to make sure you pass. Just like The Day Of Judgment, dont wait so long to start doing good deeds, and you never know when you will die.
So keep preparing to pass, and not to fail.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
"In order to change the world, you have to get your head together first."
Both of these quotes relate to what we are learning in islamics about Surat Al Kahf. The chinese proverb what basically saying how if one person can be put together properly, you can change the world. Also to never underestimate what you can do, even if you are young.

From the first quote, I understand that we should never give up on the hope that we can change the world. It says that that is the only thing that ever has. This shows that at first, you are a normal person with no power, but when you try to change the world and you do, that proves that anyone can change the world.

I love this quote so much, Lemisse!
We are here to only worship Allah (SWT).
If we have made a mistake in the past, we should forget it...it's history. But we have to live in the present by making it better than the past. Everyday we should live up to our full potential and make successful goals. We have to plan for the future and do our actions based on that. The future and long term goal we should always live up to is getting into the highest level of Jannah, Inshallah! :)

I also love this quote Hibah and Lemisse. I had heard it in Kung Fu Panda 1 when I was little and after watching it my Mom had explained to me what it meant. Like what Lemisse is saying Only Allah (SWT) knows what has happened in the past and future. And you can't change anything that Allah (SWT) has set for you! Great quote!

"You change your life by changing your heart."
--Max Lucado
This inspirational quote reminds me of one of Allah's names Al-Ghafour because when you do something wrong for instance, you stole something Allah doesn't let you get caught cause its your first time, but when you do it again and you get caught that means you have to change your life by changing your heart! :)

"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
-Mahatma Gandhi
This ties to Islamics when we learned about changing us before changing other people. We can't expect the world to be perfect when we ourselves aren't trying or fixing ourselves. We have to work on changing the world one step at a time, starting with us. We shouldn't pick on others when WE have sooo much to fix inside of us! If we want the world to be a better place, we have to think, are we really being the change we want to see?
"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience."

This qoute relates to the ayah of the week because it talks about patience. William Shakespeare is trying to say degrees don't get you anywhere, patience does, so he is questioning people how can you accomplish anything without patience? Allah says the same thing in the Quran,( he doesn't mention degrees though),
