Asalamualikum.
In class we were talking about how fortune telling Is Haram. I remembered when I went to california On a certain street there were sooo many fortune tellers, claiming to tell your fortune. I remembered reading something about how a woman "enslaved" her children because a fortune teller told her to. It made me think how easily people without faith or religion can be tricked or convinced to do things that they will later regret.

I'm glad you mentioned that Sara. I read some books that had people performing illusions to make it look like they were fortune-telling. It was weird how the characters would fall for such simple tricks...

I so agree with you.. fortune telling is basically shirk because you are doing anything a "fortune teller" tells you to for success in the future and all that nonsense. Think about this. If you are a fortune teller, you are basically communicating with the evil jinn (la samah allah) just to get your prayer not accepted for 40 DAYS. what good will it do for your "future". No one knows our future except Allah (SWT). (astaghfir allah) some people even try to predict when the last day will come. one really shameful example is the millennium (2000) when people were gathering supplies and everything for the "last day". First of all, how could you tell . it's just a new year. And second of all, the dumb thing is, is that if it's the end of the world and the universe will get destroyed, why would you hold on to food and batteries and all that stuff. That is why islam is our light, and our straight LOGICAL path...

wow i so agree with u sara and amira and sarah m. people are fortune telling not acurate things obviously because they actually dont even know our future. even fortune cookies have fortunes in them so its best not to read them.only allah SWT knows our future and we shouldnt comitt shirk for that. in my old school when i was smaall, their was a fair and there was a station about fortune telling so i went in it because i didnt really know it was bad,all i k new was not to beleive it so i went and a girl just had a globe and took my hand and said random thing. my friend beleived it but of course i didnt.

one thing i learned in Islamics that interested me was how the signs of the day of judgment will come in an order from small signs to big signs. this reminds about a few years back i remember there was a sea that had almost dried up and it was one of the signs of the day of judgement it was Thursday night and was freaking out and then i realized that tomorrow was Friday so i seriously thought the day of judgement was going to be tomorrow of course it wasn't but it was interesting how reacted

One thing I learned in Islamic studies was how the prophet told the companions how little time was left till the day of judgement and it kind of scared me cause i wondered if there was such little time left hundreds of years ago how much time is left now?

In Islamics we are also learning about the day of Judgement. something I would like to relate to science is bringing different extinct species back to life. And it made me think how did the last animal of a now extinct species feel when it was about to die? Did it feel like The Day of Judgement, because the rest of it's species are gone and it was the only one left. But only Allah knows.

In Islamics we learned about the day of judgment and the signs. In Social studies we are learning about the ancient empires. Many of them had different belief systems and religions. They believed in many gods and on the end day, all of the non believers will feel Allah's wrath

Oooh! Ya! And also, adding to your point we were also discussing the different names of the day of judgment. One of them were the day where there will be no doubt, and i thought all the nonmuslims who make fun of Islam are going to be soo sorry then. Muhahha! just kidding.

In Islamic studies we are learning about the day of judgment, which relates to L.A. because we were talking about how a character named Jones was to young to work but who knows when he could die so your never to old or to young to do anything.

In Islamics we are learning about The Last Hour (The Day of Judgment) and it reminded me alot about those people who keep saying its gonna be the end of the world, and whats amazing is that other people believe it even though there's no evidence. Allah (SWT) knows best. No one can tell when the last hour will be, but Allah.

In Islamics we learned how Allah is Al-Khaliq, the Creator. In math we learned how so mathematicians spend all their lives figuring out the numbers of pi but there is no point for that. We should spend all our lives worshipping Allah.
Assalamwalaikm
Today in Islamics we learned that the Prophet (SAW) took his index finger and his middle finger and he said that that was how long the Day of Judgment was going to be in.-
After I read this hadith I felt a shiver go down my spine. You know the times when you think about the Day of Judgment and think ITS REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN. I always think of the Day when we will be standing in front of Allah (swt) with our good and bad deeds and I dread that I may have more bad deeds than my good but I hope for more good deeds than my bad.
This relates to my experience when I went to Malaysia in the summer all the Muslims were praying and worshipping Allah (swt) and some of the Mosques I went to people were crying in fear/happiness of Allah

1 thing i learned was that on the day of judgement everything will die. this reminds me of how in science they can recreate a wolly mamaoth, an animal that is already dead. this doesnt seem right to me because i belive Allah is the only one who can give life to things. i <3 and respect Allah swt who is the creator and i think that if an animal is extict there is a reason for it.

In Islamics we learned that the Mehdi will come during a time of destruction and mass killing, isn't that the case today? Peace out ('-')

I remember when I first saw the Kaaba in the summer of 2012. I remember seeing so many people of different races and ethnicities, all gathered together to worship Allah. It was so beautiful to see people united like that.
It relates to Dajjal because in order to defeat him Muslims will have to unite against him, but how are we going to do that if we are fighting in Syria and all those other countries. It's scary to think of how he will manipulate people if we don't come together.

Well in Islamics we learned that you should spend your time wisely like reading Quran and worshipping Allah bot memorizing PI because it ain't gonna take you no where! That really hit me because sometime I do these mistakes as well!

i can relate islamic studies to social studies.. specifically, the empire of Genghis Khan. I say this because first, he was ruthless and was always killing, and stealing, and only cared about victory against other clans. But as they were traveling (nomads) they got closer and closer to Islamic countries. Eventually, Genghis Khan converted to Islam, and changed immensely. He gave more support to women and children, and shared supplies. This shows the true meaning of islam... salam (peace). islam actually comes from the word salam (peace). This was just an example that stood out to me....

In Islmaics we learned about how people are heedless of The Last Hour. In Language Arts my Current Event article was about Syria. The public doesnt know how bad the situation really is.

in islamics we are talking about the names of allah. i would like to connect this to Q.A because we just finished a test and it reminded me of suratul fatiha and the meaning of it. like in the surah they use Allah instead of his different names. so you know there's a connection there
