Something I learned today was that the last sermon by Prophet Muhammad (s) was on th day of Arafat (9th day of dhul hijjah). I also learned there are many rewards for sending prayers upon the prophet (s), not just good deeds.
That is very cool!
i learned that the 10 days of dhu-alhijah are the most important days of the year and i have a question is the shaytan locked up in the 10 days just like in ramadan or no?
No, but it is harder for him to distract you.
There are several reasons why these days are the best:
1) Allah [s.w.t] swore by them in Surah Fajr, v. 2.
2) These are the well-known days mentioned in Surah Hajj, v. 28, wherein the remembrance of Allah is ordained.
3) The Prophet SAW mentioned (in a hadith reported by Bukhari) that these 10 days are the most beloved days to Allah for worship and good deeds.
4) The day of Arafat – the day when Hajj happens, when sins are forgiven, when souls are freed from the hell-fire - comes in these days.
5) The day of slaughter (i.e. Eid-ul-Adha) comes in these days.
6) Ibn Hajar says, “In these days, all the major acts of worship are combined. That is, in it there is prayer, charity, fasting and hajj. This does not occur in any other set of days except the ten days of Dhul Hijjah”.
i accidently wrote SAW instead of PBUH in the 3rd reason
JazakAllahu Khayra! This was really beneficial.
Wow very beneficial I learned so much
JZ rayan i learned alot from you
Thank you for the info about dhul hijaa. I never knew that the first ten days were the most important of the year (i thought Ramadan was). JAK.
I learned that the fifth day is ajir of reading quran. Also the sixth day is benefits of making du'a.
I learned that no matter how many good deeds you get, you will not enter jannah without Allah's mercy.
I learned that the more you give the more you receive.
That is a very true thing but sometimes its hard to give but you just have to trust that allah will return it to you
Hi everyone my name is reham as you know. I love the colors blue and pink. my best friends are rama fotima sarah and aleena. And what i have learned is that the 10 days of thul hidja is the most valuble days of the year. bye bye.
i learned that the most important things in life arent actual things
i learned that if you hert an animal, on the day of judgement that same animal will do it to you.
does that apply to bugs or just animals
i actually dont know... maybe bugs
I learned that Abu Bakr always believed in the Prophet (SAW) no matter what he what he was saying.
Learning about the first ten days of dulhigah was awesome!
I learned that allah will never let you enter into jennah usless he has mery on you and forgives your sins.
Really not even one sin
Jannah is spelled Jannah
Hi everyone my name is Layla i laerned a lot about abu bakre as sidiq such as he did not drink or smoke or participate in parties before islam
he must have had an amazing fitrah!
I laerned that when prophet Mohammad (SAAW)deid Umar (RAA) said he wuold kill whom ever say that Mohammad is dead
I learned that after every hardship Allah provides ease
Reflection about Al-wakeel !!
i learned that if i am in a hard struggle just like Ibrahim's wife with the baby alone, that i should always keep my patience and trust in Allah (swt).I also should keep making dua'a just like Hajar. and i should prepare before trusting in Allah, just like how Hajar tried her best to to walk between the 2 mountains asking for help. She actually tried.
sorry, i wrote that in the wrong place i re wrote it under Al -Wakeel.
i learned this hadith yesterday
Imam Sadiq (as) said: "Be careful of your knowledge and see from whom you get it."
Dear Ms. Tasnim,
How are you doing? Today I learned that there is a lot to learn about Al- Razaq and one of the things I learned was that if you didn't thank Allah (SWT) for a blessing, then He might take that blessing away from you.
I learned that During the death of prophet saaw everyone was upset. Even Umar (R) was going to kill anyone who talked about the death. Although abu bakr reminded them not become disbeliever, just because prophet saaw is dead allah is not dead and will never die
i learned that allah (s) will never put a hardship on you more than you can handle
I learned that everyone will be tested in this world.
I learned that slavery still goes on in this world and that before the Europeans took the Africans the Africans had slaves
How does this relate to Islamics Studies amirah?
i really dont know i guess this blog said something new i learned today. Plus i know that slavery is haram in islam and that bilal was a slave.
Same with Amirah I also learned a lot about slavery and also how Muslims are treated not fair like the story Ms. Hajera told our class.
thats a good connection i forgot about the story ms. Hajera told us!
sorry if i spelled ms. Hajera wrong.... :(
ya i learned that savery is still going on and the white people forced t to walk 100 miles but they couldnt so they tied him to a tree so the animals could eat him alive! A mans inhumanity to man!!
this is actually a question not something i learned but, i searched every where for the dua that prophet Muhamad said that converted Umar ibn khatab can you send it to me or post it on the weebly.
At-Tirmidhi narrated that Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar narrated that: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘O Allah, strengthen Islam with whoever is more beloved to You of these two men: ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab or Abu Jahl ibn Hisham.’ At-Tabarani narrated this from hadith of Ibn Mas‘ud and Anas, may Allah be pleased with them.
thank you Ms. Tasnime, i was also curious! :)
I learned a lot from this website, also I learned a lot of different stories
i learned that nothing in life is free. You always have to work for it such as the main goal/reward... Jannah. You have to work for it very hard but in the end its all worth it...
How are you doing? Here is the homestudy of what you did to help your salah be better. What I did was that I prayed Maghrib directly after the Athan and made wudu also after the Athan. This really helped my day! Thanks for the tips!
How are you doing? Here is the homestudy of what you did to help you pray fajir on time. What I did was that I ate 2 hours before I sleep and kept the alarm clock away from me. This really helped my day! Thanks for the tips!
I learned for Khusu' that if you increase wisdom about Allah (SWT) then when you pray you will be able to focus. I learned from the 15 tips that I should now keep my snooze button (Shayton button) away from me, both of these helped me a lot.
Based on the video we saw in class about some tips for waking up for Fajr, one thing I will try to do from now on is to rub my face with my right hand when I wake up.
I learn a lot from this website! May Allah reward Sr. Tasnim for this, Ameen...
i totall agree sarah, sr. tasnim did alot to teach us about islam, may ALLAH (swt) give her the best of reward in this life, and in the after life, Ameen...
Assalamualaikum Ms. Tasnime; I learned some helpful tips from the videos. Every day I rub my right hand on my face and keep my alarm clock under my bed. That way I ward off the sleep and am able to wake up for fajr. But usually we dont have time so i wake up extra early to pray fajr. I also learned alot from the productive muslim videos. Thank you for posting them. Everytime I pray I feel like an imaginary battery over my head charching up :)
it was inspiring
I learned about the 15 tips is that I have to start sleeping in different places for example, floor, couch, or even a airbed (uncomfortable). I learned about Khusu is that I have to start minimizing my wordly matters and I also learned to come to the masjid as early as I can!
I learned that you should never click the snooze button because IT IS THE SHAYTAN BUTTON!
I learned to wake up early and rub my face with my right hand to stop my urge to sleep.
I did the same thing as Ahmad in the morning and it worked! I didn't even feel tired anymore!
How are you doing?
I learned from those videos that I tried to look at the place of Sujud that helped me focused. I tried to wake up for Fajr by asking my grandfather to wake me up also I did Tasbih before sleeping also put an alarm and when I woke up I washed my face with my right hand.
THANKYOU FOR THOSE TIPS AND VIDEOS.
wow Areeba you did alot mashallah :)
i learned that you should respect your parents, no matter how many mistakes they make. (But you don't obey them if they are telling you to do somehing haram). But be RESPECTFUL!
P.S. The stories about the mother with one eye and the one about the car were so sad! :( :( :(
I know right!!!
yes, you should be respectful no matter what.
you should pray on the times that are allowed, you do not pray on the time of zenith, at sunset, and at sunrise.
I learned that Fajr ends at sunrise and not at duhr
I learned that Allah SWT despises those that are feared of being around. I also learned that one should always be humble and not be loud like how a donkey brays.
2day i' ve lernd that Islam is all about good manners. THAT'S IT!!!
I learned that islam is all about your character. If u have bad character and u pray a lot and fast alot, u will go to hellfire. If u have good character but few prayers and few fasting then u wil go to jenne :)
In class we were watching a video on how If someone asked you to explain Islam in 30 seconds, what would you say? The man said the main point in Islam is having good manners, just as we learned in the Surat-Al Luqman chart. But also, one cannot just have good manners and not worship Allah, Or just have great worship, but the worst of manners. We need to be balanced.
I learned that having good manners is one main point that is said in 30 seconds about Islam. One example was when a person prayed, fast, and gave charity. Still this person wasn't balanced because it didn't have good manners.
wow, alot of people commented on this blog, and i hope they did it for the sake of ALLAH (swt). From the previous lesson i realized how much our parents do for us, and that being arrogant is something we should watch out for, also we should all speak quietly and respectfully. i hope everyone benefits from my comment, jazakALLAH for giving time to read this comment.
i learned that islam is all about good manners.
Today in a video my class saw,a man asked us a question it was: If you had only 30 seconds to explain what Islam is then what would you say? Jafar (r) was in this situation (in front of King Najashi) and he explained it as your good character and Islam revolves around how good your character is. Also the Prophet (saw) said that he came to perfect good manners.
Islam is all about manners and modest and iman go and grow together.
I learned that modesty and faith go hand and hand, if one rises the other rises too, but if one decreases the other does the same
I learned that you shouldn't judge the religion because of the person, if you see someone doing bad doesn't mean that everyone from that religion does the something.
I learned that Islam is all about having good manners.
I learned that Islam is all about manners and good character.I also learned that modesty and faith go hand in hand if one wants to know how strong their faith is they should look at how modest they are.
I learned that modesty and faith go hand in hand. And Islam is about manners and if president Obama would ask what is islam all about and you only have thirty seconds you would say manners Islam is about manners and modest and faith are like twin brothers
Continued:as I was saying modesty and faith are like twin brothers and if one gets hurt the other one does to and if one is happy and the other one is happy to. Also in a vide we saw it was the one about what would the people say but I say and sp odd the guy in the video who cares what the people say I say do what you want to do but it should be halal and right. Also don't care hoe you look yes Allah (SWT) wants you to look nice but not for the opposite gender and not for you friends to say oh that looks good on you and you don't want the, to tell you what looks nice you want your self to tell you what loooks nice on you but first you shoul
continued: as I was saying you want to tell your self what looks good on you but fist you should ask your self who am I doing this for and is it halal. A
So you should not brag and try to be cool and in the video of Ali Baba the person Sked which hair style to you like Bret and then Ali said I don't really see a difference and then the dude said because your jealous and that's not right because you can't accuse someone of bein jealous .
I learned today that Islam is all about manners. I also learned that the person that only does the obligatory things and is nice to negihbors and has good manners is better than the person that obligatory and optional things but is mean to their neighbors.
Great post Rashid!
I am sorry for that section breaking thin my I pad kept messing it up.
I am sorry for that section breaking thin my I pad kept messing it up. And I hope you benefited a lot from ehat I wrote
I learned that islam is modesty and charchter. The story was a man went to the prophet and said there is a girl she does all five prayers and more but uses her tongue in a haram way. The prophet said HeyatulNar She is from hell. Then he came again and said there is a girl she only does the obligatory pillars but she uses her tongue in a halal way. The prophet said HeyatulJannah She is from heaven. This shows that only manners and charcheter get us into jannah. This also connects to last weeks hadith of the week. Our tongue can get us in a lot of trouble even nar!
JazakiAllahu Khayran Emmah :). Just a small correction to the hadith you mentioned: It's "heya fil nar" and its translated to "she is in Hell". Same with the phrase regarding Heaven.
Our tongues can definitely get us in a lot of trouble!
i MEANT PIllars not prayers!
One of the earlier comments made by Layla which said "May Allah (swt) Reward Ms.Tasnim. Ameen." Inshallah, she will be rewarded for giving us this knowledge. Ameen. Today, we learned the three ways to have mercy to those on earth:
1. Forgiving *We must forgive all, even if it is hard*
2. Kindness *To everyone, it explains it's self*
3. Forbearance *To have tolerance, to hold back*
We are also learning about the the name of Allah, Ar-Rahman. Allah is the all merciful. If we perform a bad deed, Allah will tell the angels "Don't write it down, I am giving my servants som time to repent". He (swt) doesn't say those exact words, that is just an interperatation.
JazakAllah Hu Khaiyran.
Ameen! I pray the same for you all as well. JazakiAllahu Khayran for sharing, Emmah :).
i learned that Allah has 100 mercies and only shows 1 in this dunya, and 99 in the akhira. i think that that is pretty amazing considering how merciful he is now
something new I learned today is that when you get something new your happiness is only temporary
i learned today that even though the day of judgement may seem far away it comes closer every day.
something ew hat i learned today i that on the judgement day the sun will be so close that people will be drowning in their own sweat
